James Neal Primm

Born in Edina, Missouri, James Neal Primm received his B.S. from Northeast Missouri State, and both his M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Missouri–Columbia. He is the author of Economic Policy in Missouri 1820–1860, The Haywood Case (with Abe Rautz), The American Experience, and Foregone Conclusion: Founding of the St. Louis Federal Reserve Bank. Primm was the curator's professor emeritus of history at the University of Missouri–St. Louis from 1987 until his death in 2009.
